New Balance x Joe Freshgoods 9060 "Inside Voices - Cookie Pink" sneakers

This is a collaborative model between New Balance and designer Joe Freshgoods, part of his Inside Voices collection. 

The silhouette is the 9060, which draws on Y2K and early-2000s running visuals, blending design cues from New Balance’s 990 series with a more futuristic, tech-inspired approach. 

Upper: Made with a mix of space mesh and nubuck suede in soft, warm tones — the base is a rosy “cookie pink” mesh with tan/light‑brown suede overlays. 

Lining / Interior: Features a quilted textile lining. The inner padding is described as being “designed to mimic a bed comforter,” giving very plush comfort. 

Branding:

Pink “N” logo on the side. 

“JFG” (Joe Freshgoods) on the heel tab. 

Embroidered “Inside” on the left heel and “Voices” on the right heel in olive green. 

A textured silver strip with New Balance branding sits just under the heel embroidery. 

Midsole / Cushioning: Uses split ABZORB cushioning, which provides a soft, impact-absorbing ride. 

Outsole: Has a podular / chunky outsole in a gum rubber colour, adding grip and a retro vibe. 

Heel / Structure: There is a pronounced heel design — part of the 9060’s bold, exaggerated silhouette. 

Color Story / Inspiration:

The name “Penny Cookie Pink” refers to the Chicago-area “Funsnax Frosted Strawberry Cookies” by Mrs. Pure, which inspired the warm, nostalgic colour palette. 

The Inside Voices theme centers on introspection, quiet confidence, and personal expression.

Aesthetic: Very much a fashion-first sneaker — Y2K, tech, and retro running influences combine for a statement silhouette.

Comfort: The plush inner cushioning + ABZORB midsole makes them well-suited for all-day wear. According to retailers, the inner padding mimics a very soft “bed comforter.” 

Material Feel: Suede + mesh gives a premium, textured feel. The suede overlays are soft but may need careful maintenance due to their light tone.
